Simple Guide to Automation

 

What is Automation?

Automation helps you set up tasks that happen by themselves, without you needing to do anything.
For example, sending a booking reminder to your clients automatically.


Why Use Automation?
  • Saves you time – No need to send messages manually.
  • Improves your service – Your clients feel looked after.
  • Reduces mistakes – No forgetting important follow-ups.
Where to Find Automation
  1. Log into your dashboard.
  2. On the left-hand menu, click “Automation”.
  3. You will now see your Automation page.
How to Create a Simple Automation
  1. On the Automation page, click “+ Create Workflow”.
  2. Choose “Start From Scratch”.
  3. Give your workflow a simple name, like “Booking Reminders”.
  4. Press “Save”.

Now you have an empty workflow, ready to build!


Example: Set Up a Booking Reminder

Let’s make a simple reminder for your client’s appointment:

  1. Click “Add Trigger”.
  2. Choose “Appointment Reminder” as the trigger.
    * This means the automation will start before a booking.
  3. Set when you want the reminder to send (e.g., 1 hour before).
  4. Add an action:
    * Click “Add Action”.
    * Choose “Send SMS” or “Send Email”.
  5. Write your reminder message, like:
    “Hi [First Name], just a reminder about your appointment today at [Appointment Time]. See you soon!”
  6. Click Save and Publish your workflow.

Now your clients will automatically get reminders without you lifting a finger.


Quick Tips
  • Always test your automation first (you can test with your own mobile number).
  • Keep your messages short and friendly.
  • If unsure, start with just one automation, it’s better to build slowly.
  • Remember your SMS allowance. You will be charged 0.05p for each SMS, once your allowance is used.
