Sending Birthday Reminders with Automation
Why Send Birthday Reminders?
- Sending birthday reminders:

Automation makes it easy to send birthday messages automatically!
Important: You’ll Need the Customer’s Birthday Info
Before setting this up, make sure the customer’s birthday is saved in their contact details.
You can add the birthday in their profile under “Contact Information“.
Where to Set Up Your Birthday Reminder
- Log into your dashboard.
- Click “Automation” from the left-hand menu.
- Click “+ Create Workflow“.
How to Create Your Birthday Reminder Automation
- Choose “Start From Scratch“.
- Give your workflow a simple name, like “Birthday Reminder“.
- Press “Save“.
Step-by-Step: Create the Automation
1. Add a Trigger:
- Click “Add Trigger“.
- Choose “Birthday” as the trigger.
- Set it to trigger on the customer’s birthday.
- Make sure you set it to send the message on the day of their birthday.
2. Add the Birthday Message:
- Click “Add Action“.
- Choose “Send SMS” or “Send Email“.
- Write a personal birthday message.
- Example SMS:
“Happy Birthday [First Name]! 🎉 We hope you have an amazing day! As a treat, we’d love to offer you [insert offer]. Cheers from the team!”
3. Add Additional Actions (Optional):
- You can add a special offer like a discount or a voucher that can be redeemed on their next visit.
- Just click “Add Action“, choose “Send Email” or “Send SMS“, and create the message.
4. Save and Publish!
- Once you’re happy with everything, click Save and then Publish your workflow.
Quick Tips
- Personalise the message with the customer’s first name.
- You can add a birthday gift or discount to make the message extra special.
- Test it out by adding your own birthday to a contact and checking that the reminder works.
- Keep it friendly and warm, like a personal message from you!
