How to use the marketing section
The Marketing section helps you send emails, text messages and schedule social posts. It is useful for newsletters, promotions, reminders and updates, so you can stay connected with your audience.
What can you do in the Marketing section?
The Marketing section allows you to:
- Send email or SMS broadcasts.
- Schedule campaigns ahead of time.
- Create templates to re-use later.
- Track opens, clicks and replies.
This is useful for newsletters, promotions, reminders and business updates.
Step 1: Send an email campaign
Email campaigns are one-off messages that you can send to your contacts.
To send a one-time email:
- Go to Marketing > Emails.
- Click + New Campaign.
- Give your campaign a name for your own reference.
- Choose a template or build from scratch.
- Create your message using the drag-and-drop editor.
- Choose your recipient list.
- Choose whether to send now or schedule for later.
- Click Send or Schedule.
Step 2: Track email results
After sending an email campaign, you can check how it performed.
You may be able to track:
- Open rates.
- Click-throughs.
- Bounces.
- Unsubscribes.
Step 3: Send an SMS campaign
SMS campaigns are useful for short updates, reminders, promotions or time-sensitive messages.
To send a bulk SMS:
- Go to Marketing > SMS.
- Click + New Campaign.
- Name your campaign.
- Write your message.
- Choose your contacts or tag group.
- Choose whether to send immediately or schedule it for later.
Step 4: Use templates
Templates let you save emails or SMS messages so you can re-use them later.
To use templates:
- Go to Templates under the Marketing section.
- Create a new template or edit an existing one.
- Use your template when starting future campaigns.
This saves time and helps keep your branding and messaging consistent.
Step 5: Use the social planner
If this feature is enabled on your account, you can also manage social media posts from the Marketing section.
To use the social planner:
- Go to Marketing > Social Planner.
- Connect your social accounts, such as Facebook or Instagram.
- Schedule or post content across platforms.
- View upcoming scheduled posts in the calendar view.
This is useful for planning content and keeping your social pages active.
Tips for better results
- Use clear subject lines and a simple call to action.
- Keep messages short, clear and engaging.
- Personalise messages with the contact’s name where possible.
- Always test emails or texts by sending them to yourself first.
- Use templates for messages you send regularly.
- Check your results so you can improve future campaigns.
